Parenting is incredible, but it’s also hard. And parenting a child with a medical condition, disability or additional needs can feel overwhelming, isolating, and relentless at times. We know this not just through research, but through lived experience.
Oliver’s Oasis was born from our family’s journey navigating hospital appointments, endless paperwork, and the emotional weight that comes with caring for a child who needs a little extra support. Along the way, we realised one thing clearly: no parent should have to do this alone.
Oliver’s Oasis welcomes all parents, but is especially designed for those supporting children with additional, medical, or complex needs. This is a space to feel understood, stay organised, and connect with a community that gets it.
Who We Are
We’re Andy and Kerrie - parents, carers, and creators of Oliver’s Oasis.
Andy is Oliver’s dad and an operations specialist who founded Oliver’s Oasis to create the supportive, organised, and understanding space he wished existed when navigating life with a child who has additional needs. He brings a calm, practical, and community-focused approach to everything the platform offers.
Kerrie is Oliver’s mum and a childhood development/SEN specialist with years of experience across mainstream and specialist settings. She brings deep expertise, compassion, and lived understanding to Oliver’s Oasis, helping ensure every resource is grounded in real family needs.
But Oliver’s Oasis isn’t about us. It’s about you. It’s about giving parents a safe, welcoming space to breathe, learn, connect, and feel human again. Every tool, post, and guide is created with care, backed by trusted UK resources, and shaped by the voices of real parents.

Our 12-week Guided Parenting Journal is designed to help parents slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves. Blending gentle prompts, wellbeing exercises and space to breathe, it supports you through the emotional ups and downs of caring.
